Overlay images with transparency in your browser — no upload, no account, no cloud queue. Load your photo locally, place a preset graphic with built-in transparency, fine-tune opacity on-device, and export without sending pixels to a server.

Overlay with Transparency — Free

No upload · No server · Opacity control

What this tool does

  • Preset transparent overlays (stars, flowers, birds, sparkles, hearts)
  • Drag to position overlay on the canvas
  • Opacity, size, and rotation controls
  • Download or copy flattened output
  • Optional EXIF metadata stripping before export
  • On-device processing — images never uploaded

Preset graphics with adjustable transparency

Pix-8 Image Overlay layers preset transparent graphics on a client-side canvas in the browser — not a cloud editor that ingests your file first. Choose stars, flowers, birds, sparkles, or hearts, drag into position, dial in opacity, size, and rotation, then download or copy one flattened image. It does not accept custom overlay uploads, tiled watermarks, or batch queues.

Why overlay images with transparency in the browser?

Cloud overlay tools route every file through a remote server before you can tune transparency. Pix-8 processes locally — the practical fit when you need to overlay images with transparency for social posts, portraits, or product shots without sending assets off-device.

On-device compositing

Your base image and transparent preset are merged on a canvas in the browser tab. Pix-8 never receives your pixel data.

Opacity you control

Select a preset with built-in transparency, drag it into place, and fine-tune opacity before you flatten and export.

Flattened export

Download or copy one merged file per session, with optional EXIF metadata stripping before you share.

Load your base image locally, pick a preset from the gallery, and drag it into position. Adjust opacity, size, and rotation on-device in your browser tab.

  3. Step 3

    Export the merged image

Download or copy the flattened result — one file with the transparent overlay baked in, ready to post or send.

Frequently asked questions

Can I overlay images with transparency without uploading to a server?

Yes. Pix-8 Image Overlay runs entirely in your browser. Your base photo is read locally, a preset transparent graphic is composited on a client-side canvas, and you export from your device. Your image is never transmitted to Pix-8 or any third-party server.

Can I upload my own transparent PNG as the overlay?

Image Overlay uses a built-in preset library — stars, flowers, birds, sparkles, and hearts — with transparency baked in. You adjust opacity, size, rotation, and drag position on-device. It does not accept custom overlay file uploads. To place your own logo or image file on a photo, use Pix-8 Watermark.

How do I control transparency on the overlay?

After selecting a preset, drag it into position on the canvas. Use the opacity slider to fine-tune how transparent the graphic appears over your base photo, then adjust size and rotation before export. Image Overlay does not include blend modes, layer masks, or multi-overlay stacking in a single session.

Ready to overlay with transparency?
