Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Pix-8 is built around local-first image processing. Your photos and edits stay on your device unless you choose to download or share them yourself. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and how optional site features work.
What we do not do
- We do not upload your images. Every Pix-8 tool runs in your browser. Files you select are read locally and processed on your machine.
- We do not require an account to use the core tools.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Information stored on your device
Pix-8 may store small amounts of data in your browser so the site works the way you expect:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Language preference | Remember your chosen interface language |
| Theme preference | Remember light or dark mode |
| Cookie consent choice | Remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies |
| Favorites | Remember tools you starred (stored locally only) |
| Tool ratings | Remember ratings you submit per tool (stored locally only) |
| Projects | Save in-progress work in your browser when you use project features |
| ML model cache | Cache on-device models (for example background removal) in IndexedDB to avoid re-downloading |
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics cookies (optional)
If you accept our cookie banner, we may load Google Analytics to understand how tools are used and improve the product. Analytics does not receive your image files.
If you decline, analytics scripts are not loaded. Some site features that depend on consent may remain limited until you accept.
You can change your choice by clearing site data and revisiting Pix-8.
